Looking for Rainbows

Welcome everyone! Hoping you are all having a relaxing weekend.  Here I would like to share a card I have made using Look for Rainbows stamp set by Avery Elle.

To begin I stamped the image with Jet Black Ink by Lawn Fawn on a piece of Copic friendly card stock and coloured the image with Copic Markers and trimmed the image with it's coordinating die.  I will list the Copics used below for reference.

For the background I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Card stock and using the Bubbly stencil from Newton's Nook I ink blended the stencil using Stormy Sky and Tumbled Glass distress inks with a blender brush finishing with adding some splatters to the ink-blended stencil.

As I felt the image was just floating on bubbles I decided to smoosh on some card stock stormy sky and tumbled glass distress inks onto a scrap piece of card stock and using the Grounding Element die from MFT cut out a grounding element for my stamped image to stand on.

I die cut the stencilled panel and a piece of patterned paper from the Really Rainbow  pad with the Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 2 and adhered these to an A2 Card base in Moonstone by Lawn Fawn. To finish I popped up the image with some foam squares and added a few sequins from my stash.  Thank you so much for stopping by today, take care and stay safe!

Some Bunny Loves You!

Hello everyone, it is finally the weekend!  Today we had some lovely sunshine here in the UK which I am very glad as today it was the funeral of our Queen Elizabeth's beloved Prince Philip, may he rest in peace and God Bless our Queen.

On a more brighter note today I created this card using the Wish you were Hare stamp set by MFT and die cut it using it's matching die.

I coloured the hare using Copic markers the list of Copics used will be shown at the bottom of this post.  The background panel was die cut using the Polka Heart Background by Lawn Fawn, I ink blended the panel using distress inks in the following colours: Picked Raspberry, Flaming Kitsch and Spun Sugar and added some ink splatters to the finished panel.

To finish I cut a panel from some patterned paper with a set of layering dies adhering this to an A2 card base and finally adding the blended panel and popping up the die cut hare with some foam squares to give it some dimension.  Thanks for stopping by, until next time have a great weekend and stay safe!

List of Copics used:

Hare:  C2, C0, C00

Heart:  RV06, RV04, RV02

Inside Ears:  C0, C00, RV02, RV00

Perfectly Pantone 2

As the title suggests I just had to make another card with the Pantone colours of 2021 which are grey and yellow and will be entering this second card into the Modsquad|Challenge.  I had so much fun creating this card mainly using products from Gina K Designs.  I am such a huge fan of Gina K products and am so glad we have a couple of stockists here in the UK.  One of my favourites is her card stock the quality is amazing!

So let's begin!

Using Gina K - Layering Weight Cardstock in white, I die cut the postage stamp die from the Master Layouts Set 4 Die Set.  I then gently blended Lemon Drop Ink with a blending brush to the postage stamp cut outs whilst the card stock was still in place in the die this gives a nice little white border around the edges of the die cut.

I then stamped images from the Heart Flutter stamp set using Slate Ink, this is a very dark shade of grey and is almost black in colour.  I also stamped a butterfly from the Triple Play Frames and the bee from the Springtime Baskets stamp sets which appear to be no longer available for purchase.  I also added some splatters to the postage die cuts using Wild Dandelion Ink and added a few drops of Liquid Stardust to the ink which gives a lovely glitter effect to the splatters.

Using the Master Layouts Set 1 Die Set I cut two panels of cardstock out one in Moonlit Fog and Slate which I then mounted and adhered with tape runner.  I arranged the postage stamp die cuts onto the Moonlit fog panel using Connect Glue.

The sentiment from the Take Care stamp set was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink directly onto the Moonlit fog panel.

To assemble the card I prepared an A2 card base using Wild Dandelion card stock, adhering the panels to the base of the card using tape runner, finally finishing the card by adding some yellow gemstones for that extra pop!

Hoping you have had a great weekend, stay safe and take care!

Perfectly Pantone

Hello and welcome to a chilly weekend here in the UK.  Hoping your weekend is going well.  Firstly I am pretty excited to be entering my first card into the Perfectly Pantone|Modsquad Challenge.  The challenge is to use just grey and yellow as the main colour combination.  According to forecasts in global colour trends the 2021 Pantone colours are grey and yellow.  I have never really thought about what colour is trending!

To create this card, I began with cutting a panel from some Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock and using some Pixie Spray I lightly adhered the Blooming Hearts Trio Stencil by Waffle Flower to the card stock.  Using blending brushes by Taylored Expressions I began ink blending, I used Soft StoneSlate and Wild Dandelion ink pads by Gina K Designs.  After completing the layered stencilling, using a paintbrush from my stash I added some splatters to the panel with some Sunflower Ink by Lawn Fawn smooshed in with some Liquid Stardust.

I popped the panel aside to dry, once dry I cut this panel with the scalloped die from the Flags & Frames die set by Newton's Nook.  The stamp for the sentiment is from the stamp set Lots of Hugs by MFT.  I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp with onto Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion card stock and die cut with a banner die from Everyday Sentiment Banners.  Using my Gemini Junior die cutting machine I cut the Friends Die with some Slate card stock and some white card stock multiple times and adhered the layers with Connect Glue this was then popped onto the front panel of the card and adhered with glue.

To finish the card, I adhered the panel to an A2 sized Wild Dandelion Card Base, lastly adding some black sequins to add some bling.  Hoping you like my card, until next time, stay safe and take care!

Hare to your Heart

Hello friends, welcome back!  Today I am sharing a card that I have made using the Hare stamp set from MFT.  Firstly I stamped out the image on white copic friendly card stock from Marker Geek it really is a nice card stock to use with Copic markers and blends very well.  The list of copics used will be at the bottom of this post.

For the background I cut a panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Dies set 2 using the second biggest die from the set.  I then ink blended the panel using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink and Speckled Egg Distress Ink with blending brushes.  After the ink blending was completed I then added some splatters to the panel with the inks I used with some Liquid Stardust which gave a nice shimmery look to the panel.  Whilst this panel was drying I cut a panel using the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle Dies with a piece of patterned paper from an old pad of MFT Merry & Bright Patterned Paper which is no longer stocked.  Lastly using an A2 Card base I assembled the card using liquid glue and the sentiment was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink which is a favourite of mine at the moment as it really gives a clear crisp image when stamping on blended backgrounds.  Thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Copic List:

E35, E33, E53, E51 & E50

For the inside of the ears of the hare:  E51, E50, R22 & R20

Hello friends, happy Easter Sunday! Today I am excited to share my first card using images from Lawn Fawn's Eggstra Amazing stamp set.  The card is inspired by a card that Mindy Eggen created. These bunnies and chicks are just the cutest and squealing out for spring!  I coloured the images with Copic markers using copic friendly paper by Marker Geek Make "it" Colour card stock.  List of Copics used will be at bottom of this post.  I then cut out the images with their matching dies.

For the background I die cut a panel of white card stock using Lawn Fawn's Sunburst Background DieStraight Flower Border Die and Tucked in Turf cut from Shimmer Cardstock.  For some shimmery goodness I added some splatters to the card using Sunflower Ink and smooching together with some Liquid Stardust.  Lastly using some patterned paper from Perfectly Plaid Remix Pad I cut and adhered to an A2 sized card.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne on some Gina K Innocent Pink card stock.  Have a wonderful day!
